Department of Surgery: Established in the year 2000, the Urology department of MMCH offers specialist care and treatment led by a team of highly skilled professional urologists. The department provide both OUTDOOR and INDOOR services. Outdoor service is rendered on SATURDAY, SUNDAY and MONDAY. SATURDAY and WEDNESDAY are scheduled for routine operations. Most endo urological, laparoscopic and open urological operations are conducted in this department. Now RADICAL SURGURY for urological malignancies like radical prostatectomy, radical cysto-prostatectomy with different type of urinary diversions, radical nephrectomy, nephroureterectomy, radical penectomy are routinely performed in this department. RECONSTRUCTIVE UROLOGICAL SURGERY like all sorts of hypospadias repair, Oral Mucosal Graft (OMG) urethroplasty, Pyeloplasty, Phalloplasty also conducted regularly.Uroflowmetry, urodynamic study, cystoscopic evaluations, intravesical therapies installation services are available in this department. High end sophisticated instruments like flexible cystoscope, paeditric endoscope, adult endoscope along with URS, ICPL, urological laparoscopic set enrich the department.

Hospital / Lab services Uroflowmetry, urodynamic study, cystoscopic evaluations, intravesical therapies installation services are available here. High end sophisticated insrument like flexible cystoscope, paeditric endoscope, adult endoscope along with URS, ICPL, urological laparoscopic set enrich the department. Outdoor service is rendered on SATURDAY, SUNDAY and MONDAY. Consultations are given by Assistant professors for every OPD patients. Usual hospital admission date for urology department on SATURDAY, SUNDAY and MONDAY. During office hour, emmergency urological patients may be admitted through Emmergency Department, otherwise these patients are admitted in general surgery unit for first line management and referred to urology department subsequently. Only 8 (eight ) bed is allotted for urology department and distributed in Ward-6 (non-paying-01, paying-01), Ward-7 (non-paying-02), Ward-8 (non-paying-01) & Ward-27 (non-paying-02, paying-01).
Research – “Outcome of superficial urinary bladder TCC with or without intravesical therapies” is now on going research.
