Department of Pediatric Hematology & Oncology: On 24th December 1968, Faculty of pediatric was first opened in ward-19 of MMCH with one General Pediatrics unit headed by Associate professor Dr. M A Qavi. In 1993, number of pediatric unit was increased to 03 with concomitant creation of new posts. Pediatric bed was raised to 36 but due to increased patient load Pediatric bed was locally increased to 80. On 5th July 2009, department of Pediatric Hematology and oncology was created with 01 faculty member (One associate professor) and 01 assistant registrar.
