Department of Gastroenterology:
Gastroenterology department in Mymensingh Medical College was established in 2000. Gastroenterology is a specialized branch of medicine that deals with the diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract and associated organs like liver and pancreas. The following doctors are now working in this department.

Course & training: Course eg: MBBS, Training – BCPS training with duration(Training as internal medicine for 6 months and training for fellowship in gastroenterology for 2 years), BSMMU ( 6 months)
Education: MBBS – lectures, Tutorial schedule, Coordinator, Class routine, academic calendar, Teaching hour, (all done with co ordination with medicine department)
Hospital / Lab services: a. Outdoor services: Outdoor service is provided on every Monday from 12pm to 1.30pm b. Indoor services: Both male and female patients are admitted through RP (medicine) six days a week. c. Consultation services: Respected professors give consultation to other departments as requested. d. Endoscopic services: Diagnostic and some therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy services are provided to indoor patients thrice a week.
