Department of Cardiology:
The Department of Cardiology at Mymensingh Medical College was established in 22nd November 1987. The Department has developed facilities for clinical care with 16 beds in the in-patient Department including OPD Services. Laboratory facilities include ECG, treadmill testing holter recording & echocardiography. It has no facility for adult or pediatric interventions.

The Department is active in training fellows in cardiology and producing MD & D-Card, many of whom are themselves now working in various departments all over Bangladesh.
The department is conducting research in IHD, electrophysiology, cardiomyopathies, rheumatic heart disease and many other fields. Faculty members are pariciaping as guide & co-guide of thesis and reviewer of Mymensing Medical Journal. |
