journal published quarterly in January, April, July and October by Mymensingh Medical
College, Mymensingh – 2206, Bangladesh. In addition to recognition by
the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council; Mymensingh Medical Journal
has been indexed and included in Index Medicus and MEDLINE.
Databases in the MEDLARS system are available online in the U.S.
and throughout the world. Citations from the articles indexed, the
indexing terms, and the
English abstract printed in the journal will be included in the
databases.

The following are
the minimum requirements for manuscripts submitted for publication,
which is based on Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to
Biomedical Journals recommended by the
International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Author(s) should give their name and initial, their posts &
institutional affiliation at the time they did their work and their
highest academic degree (s) with name & address of the author
responsible for correspondence about manuscript in the title page.
Article must be accompanied by a forwarding letter, signed by all
authors, containing statements that they are the only authors, that is
not under consideration by another journal, and that this materials has
not been previously published. Paper is accepted after peer review by
the expert (s) as per recommendations.
Two copies
should be submitted. If the manuscript is rejected, it may be returned
if posted is covered. Typing should be on one side of the A4 size paper
by the English language, with double spacing between the lines
and 5cm margin at the left-hand side of the sheet.
Authors are encouraged to provide a copy in electronic form (on a
disc) with adequate labeling.
Standard
abbreviations
may be used. Avoid abbreviations in the title and abstract. However, the
full term for which an abbreviation stands should precede its first use
in the text unless it is a standard unit of measurement.
Statistical
procedure should be described in the material and methods section and
supported by reference to enable a knowledgeable reader with access to
the original data to verify the reported results.
Table
and illustrations should be separate from the text of the paper. Table
should be simple and should not duplicate in the text of the article. Do
not use internal horizontal and vertical rules. The uses of too many
tables are not encouraged.
References
must be in the
Vancouver
style and must be verified by the author(s) against the original
documents before submission. They should be numbered consecutively in
the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
The Editor reserves the customary right to style and if necessary shortens the
material accepted for publication and to determine the priority and time
of publication. Editor assumes that work based on honest observations.
It is not a task of the editor to investigate scientific fraud
